Youth Programs: People Savers
This course is a 4-Level program to teach safety awareness and First Aid to elementary school children. Colouring books and characters support each level showing a variety of everyday situations that are potentially dangerous. They learn to Check for Safety, Call for Help and Care for an injured Person. The PeopleSaver mascot reinforces the message “Prepare! Stay Safe! Survive!”

Level 1:
- Age: 5-6 / Time: 1 hr. / Fee: $15.00 + HST
Level 2:
- Age: 6-8 / Time: 2 hr. / Fee: $15.00 + HST
Level 3:
- Age: 8-10 / Time: 3 hr. / Fee: $17.00 + HST
Level 4:
- Age: 10-12 / Time: 4 hr. / Fee: $20.00 + HST
Course Content:
Five sections per level, includes: Red Cross Services / First Aid / Water Safety / Emergency Services / International Services
- Check for Safety: Participants learn how to evaluate their surroundings and what constitutes a safe environment at home and in the community.
- Call for Help: Participants learn when, who and how to call for help in an emergency.
- Care for a Person: Participants learn to care for and comfort an injuried person in these situations: Cuts, scrapes and bleeding, unconsciousness, poisoning, burns, choking and broken bones.
