Meet Our Instructors
Beata Staszak
I met Sandi in the spring of 2010 and am very happy to be part of the React Seminars team. My interest and passion in first aid and CPR began when taking swimming lessons as a teenager. This trasitioned as I continued to instruct swimming and first aid throughout high school and post-secondary. I have offered my time and skills throughout the yeats, volunteering to provide fist aid with the Campus Pesponse Team at University of Waterloo and with St. John’s Ambulance in the Niagara Region. I have also completed the Paramedic program at Niagara College. I am eager to be a part of a profession that reaches out to communities through infomative and hands-on courses I feel my energetic and engaging personality will be a great asset when instructing First Aid and CPR/AED courses, for REACT SEMINARS.

I have recently joined the React Seminars team as a Red Cross First aid/CPR/AED instructor. I am an energetic and compassionate professional with over 20 years of Registered Nursing experience, in the acute car, community hospital setting. I have worked in many different areas of nursing including surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, paediatrics and discharge planning. More recently I have enjoyed teaching in the clinical nursing programs at the college level.
I hope to simplify and communicate the content of First Aid/CPR/AED standards to each participant through activities which will be infomative, meaningful and fun. My goals are to shate my knowledge and experience and most importantly, to instill competency and readiness touse these skills in your future careeers, workplace or family/community settings.

I have been teaching for React Seminars since the start of 2006, however, my love for First Aid started much before that. From swimming instructor, to beach lifegaurd, to Ski Patrol, I have experienced many different aspects of First Responding and providing First Aid to others. These early experiences have helped lead me into my current career as a Paramedic for York Regions’ Emergency Medical System. I have been working with York Region for two and a half years as a Primary Care Paramedic. I love the challegenges that arise daily and the constant learning curve it provides to me. I hope through teaching First Aid at React Seminars I can share some of my passion for what I do, some of the knowledge that I have, and most importantly, have a little fun in the process. I look forward to meeting you at a First Aid course soon.
